Jenny, congratulations on your new book! I saw you this morning on Good Things Utah, and my sister kristen said, that’s Jenny Ahlstrom. Woah! I have looked at your website SO MANY TIMES and it never registered to me that it was you. (I am one of the Steele’s from the SSH stake…) I LOVE your potstickers recipe! I have told eveyone I know all about it, and I just can’t stop drooling over all of your other recipes. I am definitely going to have to fit this cookbook into my budget next month so I can get it! Thanks! Kodi
Kodi, thanks so much for posting such a sweet comment. I remember your sisters and your beautiful home with the arched brick fireplace. I think your dad did built a fireplace in my old home by Vineyard Elementary. I’m so glad you have been trying out my recipes and loving them! Pot stickers are the best. My 6 year old is a VERY picky eater, but pot stickers are her all time favorite. I also love how fast they are to make. Happy cooking, and I hope we’ll get to run into each other one of these days!
I have to say that being in CO we always miss out on local opportunities to check out and buy books by you awesome UT gals. On a whim (after finding that, of course, our library didn’t carry your book) I requested that the library buy it. What do you know! I received an email from them today. They ordered 5 copies for the library and there are already holds on the book. I’m #1 and I’m so excited to see what the book has to offer. I enjoyed seeing your video on everydayfoodstorage and have been checking out your site since then. Thanks so much for sharing!
Erika, how exciting! Thank you for requesting my book at your library. I’ve always dreamed of having my own book at a library. You are going to love this book! Please keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions. Happy cooking!
I just received this cookbook with plans to use it to feed my family more regular homecooked meals. I started with the Chicken Marengo which I learned was Napoleon’s last meal after a battle he won. It was filling, had great depth and wonderful ingredients…my husband said he’d eat it once a week if I made it! And suggested adding black beans.
Last night was the chicken pot pies which were more from scratch than how I previously made them. Loved the sauce and meaty potatoes and carrots. I loved watching my 8 year old pick her peas up one by one as she stabbed them with her fork. I’m making the chili with cornbread topping next,…we’re definitely on our way to making many more (Fabulous Freezer Meals) memories. Thanks, Jenny!
